relevant natural attractions: | Hills covered with grasslands and coastal shrublands. Monument in commemoration of the Battle of Matasiete. |
Tourist attractions: | There are two hills oriented north-south direction, separated by a depression. Guayamurí Hill, north is tapered like a volcano and an altitude of 480 meters. Matasiete Hill, south, made famous by the battle for independence, reaching a height of 680 meters. It has a high landscape value. | Activities Permitted: | The observation of nature, hiking, walking, scientific research. | Prohibited Activities: | Hunting for sport or commercial. The cutting and burning of any form of vegetation. The extraction of specimens of flora and fauna. Lighting fires. The sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
