Wildlife: | Marmosa tyleriana (marsupial endemic tepui tops), Estefania riae (amphibian endemic to the Plateau Jaua), tapir (Tapirus terrestris), jaguar (Panthera onca). | Flora: | Rich in ferns, orchids, Ericaceae, Compositae, Cyperaceae and bromeliads. Large areas covered by grasslands dominated by Brocchinia hechtioides. Endemic species: Stegolepis grandis. | Water resources: | Budding and Ventuari Caura rivers of the Orinoco River basin. | Tourist attractions: | It belongs to the older formation of the planet, is formed by three of the most important rock solid as tepuy: the Jaua-Jidi, the Sarisariñana-Jidi and Guanacoco-Jidi. On the plateau Sarisariñama is a unique phenomenon in the world, as are two deep holes in the rock, called Simas of sinking. The largest of them has a vertical depth of 350 meters with a mouth diameter of 352 meters and 502 meters at the bottom. They are the oldest and largest caverns in the world. In this area Caura rivers rise, and Ventuari Erebato and presents an extensive forest vegetation. | Activities Permitted: | Any type of activity is restricted in this park except for research, care and surveillance. |
