NATIONAL PARK DUID - Marahuaca | Location: | Amazonas State | Area: | 210,000 hectares. | Declaration: | Decree No. 2981 of 12 December 1978. Gaceta Oficial No. E - 2417 March 7, 1979. | Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions: | Including evergreen lowland forests Tepui, shrublands and grasslands Tepui. Tepuyes. | Wildlife: | There are more than 200 species of birds including the savanna of Duida (Emberizoides duidae herbicola), endemic to the Orinoco river, the Chirico (Nannopsittaca panychlora) and some very colorful as the bird lion (Blue-crowned Motmot). Among the mammals: the Marmosa of the table mountains (Marmosa tyleriana), jaguar (Panthera onca), tapir (Tapirus terrestris), otter (Pteronura brasiliensis). | Flora: | Approximately 10% of its endemic flora is rich in ferns, orchids, bromeliads, sedges, and ericaceous compound. Endemic: Tyleropappus, Brewecaria, Marahuacaea. Abundant species of the genus Bromelia insectivorous. Drosera, Heliamphora and Utricularia. | Water resources: | It is for the river basins Padamo, Iguape and Cunucunuma, right bank tributaries of the Orinoco River. | Tourist attractions: | - Jumping The Picure, Marana and Wamajatada in Cunucuma River.
