Official Gazette No. 4548-E, 26 March 1993. | Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions: | Deciduous forests and semi-deciduous. | Wildlife: | Howler monkeys (Alouatta seniculus) and capuchin (Cebus sp.), Ocelot (Felis pardalis), paca (Agouti paca). | Flora: | Clusiáceas, mimosas, Myrtaceae and tiliaceus in the tree stratum, palms occupy large areas of the understory (Chamaedorea Wettinia and Geonoma). | Water resources: | Cojedes Rios, San Carlos and Acarigua. Orinoco River Basin. | Tourist attractions: | It is an important hydrological unit that gives rise to forests and savannas.
