Official Gazette No. 31,000 of 10 June 1976. | Protected ecosystems and important natural attractions: | Semi-deciduous forest and evergreen. | Wildlife: | Bear (Tremarctos ornatus), jaguar (Panthera onca), machicolation deer (Mazama americana), Honey Bear (Southern Tamandua), skunk (Conepatus semistriatus), paca (Agouti paca), armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus), agouti (Dasyprocta agouti) , howler monkey (Alouatta seniculus). Birds: cinnamon cuckoo (Coccyzus lansbergi), Siskin (Carduelis cucullata), many hummingbirds. Venomous Scorpions of the genera Bothrops, Crotalus, morpho butterflies of the genus and species Thysania Agrippina large. | Flora: | High levels of endemism, diversity of Lauraceae, Rubiaceae, melastomes, palms, tree ferns and epiphytes. Endemic species and Cousserae terepaimensis Licania montana. | Water resources: | Source of water resources in the region Sarare River drains into the Orinoco River basin. | Tourist attractions: | - Recreation Area El Mirador.
