Merida
Mérida: Mérida State Capital City. It was founded on October 9, 1558 by Spanish Captain Juan Rodríguez Suárez, under the name "City of Santiago de los Caballeros de Mérida". It is located in a vast plateau to 1625 m above sea level, at the foot of the Andes.
