ACTIVITIES in Los Roques:

Through various meetings and workshops have been carrying out activities that support each step of this important project, including:
• Establishment of the Technical Committee with the communal council.
• Establishing a Work Plan and Methodology.
• Compile, review and validation of bibliographic records relating to the sector produced by public, private and mixed.
• Diagnosis of situation, opportunities and priorities for the sector.
• Defining the Mission and Vision of the Plan.
• Identification of major interpretative issues in the sector.
• Alternatives for tourist use in the sector, based on the visitor experience during their stay in the park.
• Trends and opportunities in tourism Sector.
• Standards for park management.
• approaches in the levels of interaction

1 WORKSHOP:

1 Workshop for this presentation is planned, consultation and enrichment of Sustainable Tourism Development Plan of the eastern sector of the Parque Nacional Los Roques and the establishment of measures for implementation.
Note that the implementation of this plan will bring the following benefits:
• Strengthening the sector as a destination worldwide.
• Participation and improvements in quality of life for existing communities.
• Management and appropriate use of natural resources.
• Providing innovative and differentiated products.
• New market segments attracted to the diversity of tourism experiences.
• Infrastructure development is consonant with the environment.

MISSION:
Establish guidelines for sustainable tourism in the Federal District Sector Los Roques Archipelago National Park, through partnerships with government agencies and NGOs, with the aim of improving the quality of life of its people, preserving biological and cultural diversity as a World Heritage Humanity

VISION:

Being a tool for integrated and participatory management of a high quality tourism which permits the use, enjoyment and conservation of natural and cultural resources in a sustainable manner consonant with economic development and improved quality of life for the benefit of the population local, nation and humanity.


ADVISORS:
In order to guide efforts towards obtaining the best alternatives for the eastern sector of Parque Nacional Los Roques is supported consultants: Henrik Bratfeldt, who has extensive experience in protected areas and tourism 2.0 and Iveth Garcia Common Council of Los Roques, a specialist in the area of tourism and communication.


PARTICIPANTS:
Uniting efforts have been part of this initiative: Inparques as lead agency, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, State Government Vargas, Fundación Científica Los Roques - Edelca, Tourist Boards, Mayoralty Macuto Fishermen Federation of Los Roques , Directorate of Fisheries, Captains, Cooperative asusacion of sailboats, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy, Vitalis, CEEUNEG.
